not to be the ender of the bandwagon but the LDS church is not tax exempt and can therefore send money wherever they want just like you and me. and political contributions are not counted in tax writeoffs. example: i'm an hrc member and i do not get a writeoff for my donation.

You're right. There are very specific rules about the kinds of political activity a tax exempt organization can do. I'd like to see the AG go after organizations that broke those rules during this campaign.
