I confess that I started this thread to share a story. Shayna learned to swim yesterday! I live next to a bay and bring the dogs there about every day. Griff loves swimming but Shayna only goes up to where the water meets her belly. Until now! Yesterday the neighbor dog, a very large dashing Golden named Snoopy, was also out swimming. Shayna is in luuuurv and follows him everywhere so he goes just a little deeper in the water to get away from her, ahem, attentions. (She is coming on way too strong for him, the who-ah.:) When I threw the tennis ball out deep for Snoop, he took off and her instinct was to chase the leader. Next thing she knew she was over her head! She started swimming with the large sploosh splash sploosh splash with her front paws right back to the shallow water. After doing this a few times she realized that swimming is just like running under water and refined her crazy swimming technique a bit. Suuh-weet! She seemed quite impressed with herself. She still won't go too deep which is good for Snoop. I confess I want to keep her but it is not practical.

I confess that I have six rabbits and two cats that I brought with me, in the back of my car, from Los Angeles which was very not practical. Keep her, Bean! When it comes to animals, its good to throw 'practical' out the window.

Okay... I won't. But I will say, there's a reason why my rabbits all live indoors.

IWT, somehow I can just picture you traveling across country with the rabbits and the cats. ;-) I confess I STILL love Joan Baez and Judy Collins. I gave them both a few good spins last night and then played some Eva Cassadiy that I have not been able to listen to since spring. I further confess I am digging Yoave too. That song Live really strikes a chord with me. They are playing here tonight, I've been trying to win tickets to no avail. ;-(

I confess That in my being extremely burned from head to toe (not so fun for such pale ladies like me)...that I have to count to ten and distract myself from peeling off little islands of skin from various locations. ...I know it's bad.

Eeech. I did that too. K & I went to the nekkid beach two weekends back, and I asked her to rub the sunscreen on my back. But first I rubbed it on her back, and then we both got a little distracted and forgot to do mine. My bra was KILLING me for days. It's just starting to peel.

OOoh! Yeah. I'm kind of wishing that work was clothing optional. Or at least, allowed me to wear a tank. Funny thing is, I was covered in Sunscreen, a hat and under an umbrella. *grumbles*
